Photos with Santa at The Ranch House land on the family calendar every year, and somehow the lights on your own house still aren’t up. Sound familiar? Between drop-off at Sunset Ranch Elementary, practice at Whitney Community Park and a Friday game at Whitney High School, nobody at your address has a spare Saturday for ladder duty. Which is how Whitney Ranch Christmas light installation ends up handed off by plenty of families here. We supply every strand, climb so you don’t have to, and return in January to pull it all down. Call (916) 642-7382 and tell us about your house.

Two stories, close neighbors, solar on the roof

The typical home up here is a two-story with four bedrooms on a lot that sits close to the next one. That shapes the job. Those upper peaks are no place for a parent on an extension ladder after dinner, and they’re also the part every passing car sees. We run roofline lights along the eaves, gutters and gables on clips that grip the gutter lip or the roofline itself. Nothing gets nailed or stapled, and your trim never sees a drill bit.

Most Whitney Ranch roofs carry solar panels. We work the edges, keep off the panels and their wiring, and pick our ladder spots around them before a single strand goes up. Because the houses are tight together, cords stay on your side and run down behind the downspouts, so the family next door isn’t staring at a tangle from their side yard.

Young trees still look good lit

Building started here in 2006, so the trees are young. That’s fine. A slim trunk with a tight wrap looks clean and bright, and a pair of them framing the driveway does a lot for a newer front yard.

The rest of the menu suits these houses too:

    • Pillar and column wraps for the porch posts beside the front door.
    • Stake lighting along the walkway and lawn edge, set clear of sprinkler heads and well back from the sidewalk.
    • A lit wreath on the tall gable over the garage, where a bare wall needs something.
    • Lit garland around the entry and across a porch railing.

We also light homes next door in Whitney Oaks and across town in Stanford Ranch, plus Lincoln and Roseville, so we’re up on the Whitney Ranch plateau most weeks of the season.

The Whitney Ranch Community Association and your lights

Whitney Ranch has a master HOA, the Whitney Ranch Community Association, managed by FirstService Residential from The Ranch House on Old Ranch House Road. Its current rules live behind the resident portal login. We can’t read them, so we can’t print dates. You can log in, though. Pull up the holiday decoration section, text us a screenshot (or call (916) 642-7382 and read it out), and both visits, up and down, get scheduled around whatever it says today.

What is public is the news coverage. CBS Sacramento reported in 2020 that a proposal to limit how long decorations could stay up did not pass. In 2024 the same station reported that one very large display here drew a City of Rocklin warning because part of it sat on city property, along with an HOA noise violation for its sound. We take two lessons from that. Everything we install stays on your own lot, never on the sidewalk strip or a street tree. And nothing we put up makes noise. Timers cut the lights late in the evening, and the bedroom across the street stays dark.

How a quote works for Whitney Ranch Christmas light installation

You don’t need to book an appointment or wait at home for anyone. Phone us, or text or email two or three photos of the house, taken from the street. The contact page takes them too. We quote from those. Tell us which parts matter most. Is it the peak over the garage, or the tree the kids picked out? Whitney Ranch was built by a short list of builders (JMC Homes, Richmond American Homes and Tim Lewis Communities), so a clear photo of the elevation tells us most of what we need.

Live near Pernu Park or along Whitney Ranch Parkway? Mention the cross street so we can pair your install with a neighbor’s. You can also read how our home lighting service works before you ring (916) 642-7382.

    January, handled

After New Year’s we come back, unclip every strand and drive off with it. Your garage rafters stay free of light bins. A section goes dark two weeks before Christmas? Ring (916) 642-7382 and we’ll be back to fix it.

Ready to be the house the kids point at? It takes one phone call and zero Saturdays.

    Whitney Ranch families ask

When does the Whitney Ranch HOA allow Christmas lights to go up?

We can’t tell you, and we won’t guess. Those rules live behind the Whitney Ranch Community Association’s resident portal login. Check the current holiday decoration section yourself, send us what it says, and we’ll schedule both the install and the takedown to match it.

Does Whitney Ranch Christmas light installation work on a roof with solar panels?

Yes. Lights go on the eaves, gutters and gable edges, not on the panels. We stay clear of the panels and their wiring and plan ladder placement around them.

Can stakes or cords go in the strip by the sidewalk?

No. A big Whitney Ranch display got a City of Rocklin warning in 2024 for items sitting on city property, according to CBS Sacramento. We keep every stake, cord and light on your own lot.

Do wraps work on trees planted only a few years ago?

Usually, yes. A young trunk wrapped tightly looks crisp from the street, and two matching trees by the driveway give a newer yard a finished look.
