If your house is anywhere near Pebble Creek Drive and Strand Road, your kids already know what December traffic looks like. Those two streets are Rocklin’s best-known holiday display, and a real estate listing on Pebble Creek even calls it the famous Christmas lights street. No pressure, right? With Stanford Ranch Christmas light installation, plenty of parents here keep up without giving away three weekends. We carry in every strand and do the roof work.
No master HOA, so the calendar is yours
Stanford Ranch has no master homeowners association that we could find. Neighborhood listings carry no association fee, and homes on Pebble Creek Drive are listed with no HOA. For most streets, that means no one gives you a start date or an end date. Want the house glowing the first weekend of November because soccer finally wrapped up? Do it.
Two cautions. A few individual tracts inside Stanford Ranch may have a small association of their own, so dig out your closing papers if you aren’t sure. And the City of Rocklin still protects the public right-of-way. Stakes, cords and yard pieces belong on your side of the sidewalk, away from the planter strip, and a city street tree is not a place to hang anything. Every job we set up follows that. Not sure where your line is? Ask us at (916) 642-7382.
Clay tile, stucco and three-car garages
Builders finished the bulk of these streets in the mid-to-late 1990s. The usual house is Mediterranean in style, with a clay roof and stucco walls, though ranch and Craftsman homes are mixed in. Sizes run from three-bedroom single-stories to big four-bedroom two-stories.
Clay tile is where do-it-yourself jobs go sideways. A tile cracks under one misplaced boot, and nobody finds out until the rain does. Our roofline lights sit on tile clips that grab the bottom edge of each tile. The line stays straight, and the fascia never takes a nail or a staple.
Three-car garages are common here, and that long, low garage eave is the best stretch of roofline you own. It faces the street. It sits at eye level from a minivan. It lights the whole driveway for whoever is carrying in the groceries.
Thirty-year-old yards and winding streets
Lots average just under a sixth of an acre, and after roughly three decades the yards have filled in. A front-yard tree that age takes a trunk wrap well, with the lights carried up into the first few branches. The streets wind, with sidewalks on both sides, so a house on a curve gets seen from two directions. We check the side gable too, not only the front.
- Pillar and column wraps. Stucco entry columns get wrapped and tied off. Never tacked.
- Stake lighting. It follows the driveway edge and the front path, spaced around sprinkler heads and inside your property line.
- Lit wreaths. Centered above the garage doors, or in the arch over the entry.
- Lit garland. Around a front door arch or along a balcony rail.
Stanford Ranch Christmas light installation near the parks and schools
December keeps us busy on the blocks beside Twin Oaks Park and Kathy Lund Community Park, around Breen Elementary, and on the streets that feed Rocklin High School off Stanford Ranch Road. A home on Devon Drive made a regional parents’ list of displays in 2024 as well, so the bar isn’t set only on Pebble Creek.
Our crew works all of Rocklin, including nearby Sunset West and Whitney Ranch. The full list of what we install has its own page.
Getting a number from us is quick. Phone (916) 642-7382, or text or email a picture or two of your home’s street side (our contact page works for that too), and you’ll have a quote without anyone ringing your doorbell. Timers are part of the setup, so the lights click on by themselves while you’re still at practice pickup.
The January part
Once the tree is at the curb, we come back, remove every clip and strand, and take it with us. You store nothing. Something flickers out before Christmas? Call (916) 642-7382 and we’ll return to repair it.
The back seat will have opinions about all of it. Let them.
Stanford Ranch families ask
Who, if anyone, decides when lights go up in Stanford Ranch?
We found no master association for Stanford Ranch, and listings show no association fee. Some individual tracts may have their own, so check your paperwork. For most homes, timing is up to you.
I live on Pebble Creek Drive. Can you handle a bigger display?
Yes. Send photos and tell us what you have in mind for the roofline, trees and yard. We keep everything on your lot and off the sidewalk and planter strip, which the city treats as right-of-way.
Will you walk on my clay tile roof?
As little as we can. Most of the roofline is reached from ladders, and the clips hook the tile edge instead of being nailed or glued.
Can stake lights go along the sidewalk?
They go on your side of it. The City of Rocklin doesn’t allow items in the public right-of-way, and that includes the strip by the curb and street trees.
